On July 5th my friend Susanna and I went out for our semi-scheduled photo shoot. We don’t really have a schedule, it is just when one of us decided that we need to go out and shoot we give the other a call and say lets meet and go shoot. Some times our respective spouses will join us, but not this time.
This particular image was taken at the Cradle of Forestry Discovery Center in the Pisgah National Forest off of NC Route 276. It is the running gear of a rather old steam engine which ran up and down the narrow gauge tracks hauling cut trees out.
The image is and HDR created from seven different exposures. once I got the image to where I wanted it, I then pulled it into PhotoShop and used the Silver Efex plug-in to create the final black and white image.
