Without the ability to actualize an idea or concept, art would not exist. My images are a constant search for the best way to interpret the ideas that I have about myself and the world I live in. I do not limit myself to one particular style, or concept. Inspiration and ideas change. Knowledge changes. I am constantly studying, learning, experimenting, and looking for new ways to express my ideas. Each image I create is simultaneously an extension from the past, where I’ve come from and what I’ve learned, as well as a preview of the future, where I’m going. Many of the traditional photographic and painting methods can be seen in my work; Lines, textures, shapes, and form just to name a few. I do not classify myself as a professional photographer. I am a photographic artist. I like the idea that that I am free to experiment and play with various ideas and methods in creating an image. If a viewer stops for just a moment to view and reflect on an image I have created, then I have succeeded in my work.
